Yesterday was such a whirlwind of a day, but I’m so happy to be here in this lovely city. Unfortunately, we don’t have WiFi in the hotel so getting online is more difficult than I thought it would be. I’m going to walk to the nearby coffee shop each day to write my blog posts. I only have a few minutes to write this, but I’ll come back and fill in the details very soon.
I couldn’t fall asleep on the plane and when we landed in the U.K. it was the next morning – I went over 24 hours without sleep, and anyone who knows me knows how much I love and need my sleep. I was dragging and a bit delirious yesterday so everything felt a bit like a walking dream and nightmare: dream because the city is so beautiful, a nightmare because of my sleepiness.
Yesterday I visited the Charles Dickens Museum, rode a double-decker bus, had tea with brunch, basked in the lights of the city and had dinner in a London pub. Everything here is just so beautiful and I cannot wait to share my day in more detail. Pip, pip – cheerio! Be back soon!
