Happy National Running Day, lovely readers! Who’s going to join me for a run in the sun today?
Before you lace up, I want to tell you about this AWESOME running app that I’ve been using called Charity Miles. All you do is download the free app from the App Store, select your favorite charity (She’s the First is an EXCELLENT choice), click start and get moving!
The app uses GPS to track how far you’ve run, walked or biked. (Meaning it doesn’t work on a treadmill or stationary bike so you need to go outside!)
But the best part? For every mile you walk, run or bike, 25 cents is donated to the charity of your choice! Not only is it 100% free for you, but it also gives you some extra motivation to get out there and exercise! It’s a win-win.
When you select She’s the First, every mile that you run equals 25 minutes of education for a deserving girl in a developing country. So far my running has earned almost 5 hours worth of education!
